Start with the operating task, not the switch label
A retail mirror, hotel guestroom and residential project may use the same mirror form but need different controls. Identify who operates the mirror, where that person expects the control, which functions must work independently and what should happen when power is removed and restored. That sequence is the decision; touch or wall switch is the interface used to deliver it.

When integrated touch control fits the brief
A touch interface can place light, dimming, colour-temperature or anti-fog actions on the mirror when the selected configuration supports them. It suits briefs that need local user choice or separate functions, but the buyer should define icon position, visible feedback, press or hold actions, default state and memory behaviour. Do not assume every touch-controlled model provides the same sequence.
When wall-switch control fits the room plan
A wall switch can align mirror operation with familiar room controls and keep the mirror face visually simpler. It also makes the room electrical plan part of the product brief. State whether the switch controls the mirror alone or a wider lighting circuit, which functions receive power, and what the mirror should do after supply returns. Dimming, selectable CCT or independent anti-fog operation require configuration-specific review rather than assumption.
Treat hybrid control as a defined two-layer system
Some buyers want a wall switch to isolate or enable the mirror while integrated controls adjust functions locally. This is not automatically the best of both methods. Define what the wall switch does, what remains adjustable at the mirror, whether any state is remembered, and how the user recovers from a full power cycle. The drawing, instructions and sample test should all describe the same sequence.
Compare the control methods across six buyer decisions
Use one row for each decision that changes the user experience or project coordination. Compare the primary user action, independent light and anti-fog zones, dimming or CCT sequence, power-on default, instruction needs and sample evidence. A short written matrix makes supplier responses more comparable than a feature list that only says touch, wall switch or smart control.

Approve the sequence on the selected sample
Test the intended functions in the order a user will operate them. For touch control, record every icon, short or long action, indicator and resulting state. For wall-switch or hybrid control, test the mirror after supply is switched off and restored. Tie accepted behaviour and open changes to the product code, drawing and sample revision before the quotation or order reference is released.
Send an RFQ that exposes the open control decisions
Share the product or room type, destination market, lighting zones, preferred control method, dimming or CCT intent, anti-fog sequence, power-on expectation and sample stage. Ask the supplier to return unsupported assumptions and proposed control logic. Final electrical design, component compatibility, applicable documentation, price, MOQ, production schedule, warranty and delivery terms are confirmed for the selected configuration and written quotation.
